How to delete Pop-up widgets on MacAir Tahoe

I have a new Mac Air running Tahoe and there are four pop-up widgets that I would like to delete. A weather box showing the wrong city- Cupertino, Calendar, Stocks, Screentime and a blank white box.How do I delete them. I don't want to see them on my screen. Thanks.

Secondary click (Control-click, two-finger click) on the Desktop, select Edit Widgets. Then click the (X) at the corner of each widget to delete it.
