Searching for a replacement copy and paste app for iMac on macOS Tahoe

Grabbit doesn't seem to work anymore, so I'm looking for a replacement copy and paste app for my iMac. Tahoe OS is installed.

Because there are times when Apple's methods don't work, That's why I need a variety of copy and paste apps. ****, just now, I had to type a paragraph to send to my Chatbot for evaluation. I had Grabbit, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. That's why I just downloaded Zight. Unfortunately, it didn't work, either. I need several apps for copying and pasting. Simple as that. There must be one that works when others fail.(10/4/25)

I have used the ⌘ + c to copy your entire above posting into a AI /LMM and then ⌘ + v

Without revealing the suggestions provided as an alternative to Command + c and Command + v

It and I have had a merry conversation to determine if we were talking about iOS or macOS

So, a suggestion if you are up to it

Ask your favourite AI/LMM for suggestions for alternatives

I did say that it is Mac OS on an iMac. Now, for your other comments: what is LMM? As to AI, I've certainly asked my chatbots.I just thought that someone on this site would have the experience and knowledge to help.

AI / LLM ( Large Language Model ) are basically a Super Version of Predictive Text which is based upon a Data Set.

AI is also the newest form for Data Mining by Large Corporations.

As for using a Third Party Application to copy and paste

Several points in regards to that

A evidenced earlier, using the basic if basic ⌘ + c and then ⌘ + v to have copied you earlier posting into an AL

Would think it would be self evident

Second point

Being dependent on 1 or more third party application to perform the actions of copy and paste

During an update and or upgrade, third party applications are known to get Broken

The what ? become the question

For those who might have decided to buy TextSniper because of my comments, be advised that I have finally gotten it to work, and it maintains the clumsy Apple start: "Press and then release these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 4. The pointer turns into a crosshair."

Just thought you should know. Personally, I have always hated the Apple start.

You'll just have to take my word for it. It happens, not often, but it happens. If it didn't, I wouldn't be looking for supplementary copy and paste apps.I just don't know what those failed attempts have in common. Anyway, I am not going to spend the time to find one again. I have better things to do, although I might ask one of my Chatbots why certain attempts fail. Come to think of it, so could you. Ask your friendly Chatbot.

Oh, I just remembered one failure. A notice/warning appeared on my screen telling me I couldn't do something. Well, it was too technical for me, but I thought my Chatbot would understand. Unfortunately, I couldn't send it to him. Finally, after many attempts. I ended up typing the technical commentary and sending a copy of that to my Chatbot. As matter of fact, I'l be discussing that with him in a day or two; now,I'm too tired.(10/5/25; 6:28PM)

Are you really talking about copying and pasting or are you actually talking about taking screenshots?

I don't understand your point; they're the same thing. Mostly, I copy portions of the screen, but there have been times when I have copied the whole screen (screenshot). What's the important difference?

No, they are not the same thing at all. I suspect the most common use of Copy and Paste is to select some text, to copy. A screenshot is taking a picture of the screen. You don't use the copy command (command-c). You may subsequently paste that screenshot somewhere.
