Iphone damaged by 39 viruses!

I have just been searching on safari (google) for my local nail bar and had the attached message pop up saying that my iphone has been damaged from adult sites (!!) and that my SIM, contacts and apps will soon be corrupted.

I have noted that the website on the bottom of the screen says pri********** which I've googled and it might be a scam. Can anyone confirm this?

My husband has just used his iphone to look for the same nail bar and it has come up on his too! Does this mean that there is a problem with the website? Its a local girl's small business I wonder if I should warn her??

Any advice much appreciated - I'm in my 60s and this sort of thing can be rather frightening!

Thanks

J

TOTAL SCAM. There are no known viruses for iPhone. Whatever website you visited was paid by the scammers to try to scare you into buying services/tools for issues you don't have. I wouldn't use any site which is paid by scammers.
