The diagonal symmetry of the glow around app icons makes them look like parallelograms and creates a dizzying effect upon looking at the Home Screen. Cannot find a setting to disable this
For example in this screenshot the upper left and lower right of the icon have a glow which patterned across a home screen make the screen appear off kilter

Reduce transparency and reduce motion will help reduce or eliminate the effect.

You can’t turn it off, however;
Open Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Display & Text Size, then toggle Reduce Transparency = on.
Also in Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Motion, then toggle Reduce Motion = on.
In addition, you can provide ⇢ Product Feedback.
If enough requests are made, your feedback might help with future development, like a toggle in the settings.

Yup me too! I virulently dislike the new liquid glass because I cannot peruse the interface. It rolls over my visual compartmentalization/chunking necessary to process information and I find it very unfriendly and dizzying for vision impairment. I keep thinking my eye prescription is off. What were they thinking?
Interesting, but all of those options are not live on my iPad. I was able to toggle: reduce transparency which has helped, but any other customization is greyed out and inactive. I can see it, but I cannot set anything.

That's odd. Every option is available on my iPad running iPadOS 26.1. Do you have Screen Time settings enabled which prevents changes?
If you follow the advice already given there is virtually no difference. You do need to suffer it long enough to read the thread however.

Personally, I think Liquid Glass is great. But you can make adjustments which might help you get over being virulently unhappy.
