Live translation not working on iPhone 15 Pro Max with AirPods Pro

I have an iphone 15 pro max and AirPod pro 3s. All languages are downloaded and everyone is up to date(iOS 26.1 and AirPod pro 3 ver 8A357). I have deleted the app and reinstalled, re connected AirPods multiple times, restarted iPhone, cleared all my history and cookies, downloaded all languages. I can not get the live translation to work. I put both AirPods in my ear and than hold down on them until it makes the sound like it is doing the live translation. But when I do that the live button on the bottom does not come up like it’s supposed to. I tried it on my daughter’s phone(iPhone 15 pro) but it will not even work on hers. I’ve tried disconnecting from WiFi as well as trying different networks. This was the main reason why I got the AirPod pro 3. They do sound way better than the pro 2. Please help so I can use this function. Any suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated.
