"Block Caller" option is missing in iOS 26.0.1 on my iPhone SE

mac ios 26.0.1 se 2022 - I try to block a phone number from the recents screen; when I press the Info button, the next screen doesn't offer a Block Caller option. Somehow this option disappeared with the iOS update to 26 or 26.0.1, why.

Plus my battery life is now terrible even after turning off all the bells and whistles. What is up with that?

Oren198 just sent me a good workaround. He proposed to add the number to your contacts and then, the option to block the contact appears. There is even a simplier solution, avoiding to add such kind of dirty numbers in your contacts. Choose 'Add name' instead -> then give a name such as 'Spam' -> and then the option appears 'block contact' (it's great as in your recent calls, only the given names appears). It works for me on my iphone SE 2022, hope it will work for you guys.

Ok good for you, but not working for me on Iphone SE 2022, just 2 options red trash icon (to trash the log) and blue clock (schedule a reminder)

I hear ya - I finally just upgraded my phone to 26x a few days ago. Took me a bit of time to figure out the new "swipe left" configuration.

My phone: SE (2020), running iOS 26.1

That's good that the swipe left works for SE 2020, but it sure as heck does not work on my SE 2022. All swipe left produces for me is a"blue" reminder dot and a "red" trashcan dot.

same thing for me. I hate that the bugs seem to be most harmful from those who “fix” the issues.

Who knows what else is failing, but for now, I would like to block callers like I could yesterday

Hi. I have just downloaded & activated 26.2 unfortunately there is NOTHING included in this update that relates to fixing this issue? Tahoe 26.2. This is quite bazar to say the least. !

Yes.....spot on....my battery has decreased by at least 30% if not more. Thats Apple saying "we don't care. go out & buy a new phone" !!

I only see the orange circle on calls that are flagged as "potential spam".

Why the **** Apple couldn’t tell us that I don’t know? Not a lot of education comes out of Mumbai?

I spoke with Apple about this Block Caller option (09 Oct '25) that appears to be missing, it's because it isn't there at this juncture. Though one can go: Settings; Apps; Phone; Call Blocking & ID(I think this needs to be ON, then cycle out); Blocked Contact(add the number you'd like to Block and Bob's your uncle). I would imagine that a future update will restore this Block Caller option thru "Recents; Info process".
