my keyboard started typing wierd (special) characters

I was using a third-party keyboard on my Mac Mini, and suddenly, I couldn't type any English letters. Instead, my typing looked something like this: ∆©˙∆˙∆˙∆˙∆˙∆¥´†¥©ƒfƒ√ƒ∫©ñ∆¬≥˚.l≥l

It turns out this issue also occurs on Mac keyboards.

Here’s how I fixed it:

There are two Option/Alt keys on the keyboard.

First, press one of the Option/Alt keys + any letter. It won’t type anything.

Then, press the other Option/Alt key + the same letter. This time, it should work. This is how I figured out the problem.

Now, press and hold the Option/Alt key you used in Step 3.

And that’s it! The issue should be resolved.
