I use Microsoft 365 for Mac.
There is a feature in Word for Mac that works pretty well for me - the option in the Word ribbon bar that displays a drop-down list for Editing, Viewing etc.
I tried to find or enable this option in Excel for Mac, but can't seem to find it.
Can any Excel for Mac user help me?

Even if you visit Excel (16.101.3) Preferences > Ribbon & Toolbar panel and select All Commands in the Ribbon, you still won't find Word's Editing tool. Different applications, development teams, and functionality is why you won't find a specific word processing centric ribbon item on a Spreadsheet application.

Your images were not displayed in your post, so hard to see what is going on.
In Excel, try:
Preferences
and select
Ribbon and Toolbar
All the available options are shown there to configure your ribbon.
When I run Excel, I don't see that additional drop down option you mention although I do see it in Word. So it might be that you have to access those selections through other menus in Excel.

The functionality in Word works well for me (at least for now), but the functionality in Excel is absent.
