Since the upgrade to Tahoe I no longer can arrange icons in the Dock

It seems the only way to arrange icons is by dragging apps from the Finder window into the Dock. If the app is already in the dock it simply moves to the new location.

Is this an intended change in Tahoe?

+1 I expect that should work. Onyx actually has a parameter that allows you to lock the positions.

I see no change in Tahoe here..

use the enter\return key to proceed. Quit the Terminal.app and compare your results

I figured out what is happening, but I truly do not know why.

When I click an item and fairly quickly move it, I can arrange the position. If I wait just a little too long, a dialog with options pops up. The dialog I normally get using touch with two fingers (aka right click). I figured it out using a mouse, as it allows faster operations.

This seems to be a knew behaviour, unless I inadvertently changed a setting I had no clue what sides effect it has. So the question is, where can I disable the long single touch popup menu?
