AirPods causing GarageBand to close on my iPhone 14

If I have AirPods connected to my iPhone on and I boot up the GarageBand App it immediately shuts down the GarageBand app. I’ve tried disconnecting AirPods , forgetting the device and reconnecting, deleting the GarageBand app, restarting my phone but nothing seems to work. Ive done some vocal tracking and even guitar work on my iPhone GarageBand when im on the road and now i cant use it at all. Any advice?
