Can’t autofill from Passwords App

Hello , I’m having this issue where the autofill button is not working

Say I open an app like Twitch, Gmail , etc .

I use BitWarden so the account from BitWarden shows up in my autofill so I press that.

it opens up the BitWarden overlay asking for the master password.

This is stored in my Passwords app, so I press and hold the master password tab and click on the Autofill button .

The I select “Passwords” app .

It does the Face ID authentication check and then nothing happens.

It’s as though the autofill button doesn’t redirect to password manager properly.

I’m running latest version of both BitWarden and passwords app , and also latest version of IOS. (Attached)

As you can see above , no “Update” button.

Both are turned on in the autofill and password settings. (Below)

can anyone help?

I can't really answer your question, but I think this can solve your problem:

Bitwarden and Passwords do the same thing; you don't need (or want, I should think) both.

If you export your passwords from Bitwarden and import them to Passwords, then you can delete Bitwarden, you will only need Passwords to login to apps and sites; for most, it will autofill. You can set it to require face ID or to not require it.

Or, you can ignore or delete Passwords and set up Bitwarden to authenticate with face ID -- https://bitwarden.com/help/biometrics/#set-up-biometrics-for-mobile
