AirPod Pro 3 Ear Tip Replacement

I just received my new AirPod Pro 3. It came with a slew of different size tips. The AirPod tip that came installed were the medium size. I needed small. So I went through how to take the tips off and those really hold on tight to the point of starting to tear when I took them off. I finally got the first one off but not without damage. The new one popped on just fine. Then I tried the next one. Same deal. Held on way to tight and started to tear before it finally popped off. I was able to change them out but not without damage to both tips. These should not be so difficult to get off to where they will tear as you struggle to remove and replace them. I want to even try a smaller size but Im afraid to do so because I don’t want to damage the ones I just put on. I’d like to get the medium ones replaced and would like to know why they are so difficult to remove. Installing is a breeze. Removing should be so as well.

If you improperly remove them, such as you did by pulling on the tips instead of squeezing the base and pulling them off, they will tear.

I have swapped out tips numerous times and never ripped them.

This happened while squeezing the base. It is all connected. I learned what I needed to do before removing. If removing is a chore but installing is just a quick snap then something is a bit amiss here. Leaving a link to the instructions is not needed as I already have them. Assuming I didn’t read the directions is an assumption on your part. I guess I’ll just go to Apple Directly to get my resolution. You did nothing to help the issue.
