Live translation app immediately closing, using Air pods.

For context I am using iPhone 16 pro max and Air Pods pro 3. All software is up to date and apple intelligence is allowed. I have also downloaded Spanish language, whenever I click to translate (Spanish>English) or visa versa for approx. 1-2 seconds the screen goes black with a mic as if listening then goes back to the previous screen. It appears lots of other users are experiencing this issue, has anyone been able to resolve.
