iPhone 16 Pro, camera won't work with PNC app

I have an iPhone 16 Pro, currently running ios 18.6.2. The camera will not work to allow me to make deposits. I get to the deposit screen and the camera button is there but I think is not active. The camera works fine for every other situation I've used it in.

Camera permission is set to ON in the PNC app settings.

This always worked with my old phone (iPhone 8 Plus). My spouse has an iPhone 16. Deposits work on her phone. She's running a slightly older ios, but this app didn't work on my phone when I was running the older ios either.

Is there some other permission that I'm just not finding?

I had the same issue today. My iPhone 17 Pro camera button will NOT trigger in the mobile deposit image capture window. I performed all of the steps noted above: Deleted and reinstalled the PNC mobile banking app. Confirmed in settings that the PNC App has access to the camera. Restarted the phone at each stage. Everything looks correct, but the camera button will NOT fire. If I tap it constantly for a minute or so, it will eventually snap an image. But, that is not practical for any use.

PNC technical support call confirs that this is a KNOWN issue and is in process of resolution. They hope to have it resolves by middel of December. So, if the tps above don't work, try again later this month. You can also contact PNC tech support at that time and ask about the status.

PNC has really dropped the ball here. I followed the instructions and found the support button. All that does is ask me to log into PNC. When I enter what I know are the correct credentials, the login button does not activate. The only thing I can do from that screen is create an account . . . but I already have an account. As far as I can tell, there is no support available that way, so I left a review with what I would have told support in it. I guess all I can do is ask my spouse to make deposits while I wait for them to fix this.

Call your bank. I'm sure they know how to connect with you technical support. When I had an issue with my banking app, I called them and they connected me with their tech support and they were able to resolve it for me.
