Hello why since I did the update MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1 But give system to increase and 106.58 GB and can it have updates to adjust its thank you

iMac (M1, 2021)

System Data used to be called Other and it’s a catch-all category for files macOS doesn’t assign to specific categories like Documents or Photos. It’s still your own data. Sometimes rebuilding the Spotlight index enables macOS to categorize those files.

Is the computer functioning slower, do applications load slower than normal ?


Does the computer present a warning saying the computer is running out of space ?


What other odd or unexpected behaviours is the computer presenting that would require investigated the size of System Data


We may understand better if you were to provide some information about the iMac (M1, 2021)


Unless I am mistaken, computers of this age and type come with a standard 256 GB SSD Drive.


Then Yes , there could be some concerns regarding System Data size
