Go to Apple > System Settings > Energy and turn off "Start up automatically after a power failure"
If possible, you should leave the 27" iMac plugged into a power outlet.

For what it's worth, if disabling "Start up automatically after a power failure" doesn't work, it's possible the power switch is bad/stuck on.
Wait… there is something like restart automatically after a power failure. If you are frequently disconnecting your mac then you probably want to turn that off.
Unless your power grid is absolute third-world crap, then there is no good reason to regularly unplug your iMac.
But if that's what you do for some reason, then the answer provided by @den.thed is likely the fix. +1 👍🏽
May there is a setting specific for desktop macs that controls this, but how often do you plug it in? I would expect a desktop mac to plugged in permanently.
Good morning Luis, I normally turn it on once a day. I tried all the solutions...Set Energy > pmset -g with terminal, nothing has changed. Maybe it is due to the Sequoia 15.7.1 update. Thanks
I tried this solution without solving the problem.. Thanks anyway
