Southwest Flight payment pending but not booked.

I tried to book a short flight through Southwest Airlines. I used apple cash to pay for the flight but when I hit the pay button, I was prompted with a screen saying that I had an invalid Promo Code (which was odd because I didn't have one put in the first place). The flight had not been booked; however, payment still says pending on apple cash.

I needed to book the flight so I tried to book again and paid with my own card to ensure I would have it booked. The southwest app is now showing my flight that I booked with *my card*. The payment on apple is still pending though. I don't know who to contact about getting that money back since it obviously did not book the flight. Any thoughts?

Apple Cash is a prepaid debit cards and most airlines are unable to use a prepaid debit card to book a flight. It was an odd decline or error but the Southwest system is old and it picked something. It’s not a best practice to try to reserve hotel rooms or rental cars either with a prepaid card.
