cannot restore sent mac mail swoosh after 26.0.1 update

Well I'll give it a shot and trying to fix the problem.

Open the Mail app.

Go to the Mail menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select Settings (or Preferences in older macOS versions).

Click the General tab.

Find the option "Play sounds for other mail actions."

Uncheck the box.

Quit Mail completely (use Command + Q or go to Mail > Quit Mail).

Re-open Mail.

Go back to Mail > Settings > General.

Check the box for "Play sounds for other mail actions" again.

Quit Mail completely one more time.

Re-open Mail and try sending a test email to see if the swoosh sound is restored.

That's because those sound effects only apply to incoming mail. The “swoosh” sound for outgoing (sent) cannot be changed.

That’s likely because very few are experiencing this. It’s easy to assume everyone is having the same issue. I’m not seeing this on my Tahoe installation. The “swoosh” sound for outgoing mail works fine.

Try starting your your Mac in safe mode and test.

It didn't work for me. Do we have to wait for an update?

I don't see it on Sound Effects (Alert sounds) in 26.1

Tried all the above. Still no swoosh. Tried restart. Still no swoosh. I am using Tahoe 26.1

Help. I miss my swoosh!!
