HandsOff Not working between macbook pro M3 (macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 (25A362)) and Iphone 16 pro (IOS 26)

  • Both are on the same iCloud. FaceTime is also logged into the same iCloud account
  • Same wifi connected. Bluetooth enabled on both devices (not connected via Bluetooth, though)
  • Tried copying from the Safari browser
  • Already tried logging out and back in again

Logging out and back in of your Mac, or logging out and back in for your Apple Account on both devices. If you haven't tried that yet, that's the next step.


If that fails, and you're comfortable doing so, launch the Terminal app then run the following two commands.


defaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.coreservices.useractivityd.plist

killall useractivityd


Then reboot your Mac.

Logging out and back in of your Mac, or logging out and back in for your Apple Account on both devices. If you haven't tried that yet, that's the next step.
