Missing photos from iCloud backup on iPhone 17 Pro Max

Hi? My data didn’t transfer properly when I switched from my iPhone 14 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max. Instead of transferring directly from phone to phone, I restored from an iCloud backup. However, all my photos from December 2022 to November 2024, as well as my travel photos from July and August 2025, are missing. Unfortunately, I already restarted (erased) my old phone, so I can’t recover them from there. Is there any way to restore or retrieve those missing photos? I really need those photos

How did these pictures get to your phone? Some pictures transferred from a computer can be viewed in Photos, but they can't be modified by Photos, and they don't copy to iCloud Photos. That's why there may be some operations that produce a warning about those being at risk. So if you’re missing pictures that were transferred from a computer, then you should look on the computer for the originals.

If you were syncing to iCloud Photos, your photos will sync once logged into your iCloud account on your new device. Otherwise you'll need to restore from your backups.
