Can anyone explain why I have 2 search bars since ios 26 update and why the lower one never shows what I’m trying to type..?…and why the lower bar actually completely covers and blocks the functioning one in Safari? Sometimes it will let me scroll the page alittle to get covered bar out from under the lower bar, but not always…very frustrating and any suggestions would be sweet! TY (this is on an iPhone 13 Pro) ;)

If you mean the bar with the up and down chevrons and the check mark, that is not a search bar. It's just a control bar.
You aren't meant to type on it at all.
The chevrons move the cursor between different controls in the page, and the checkmark just let's you dismiss the keyboard without having to tap outside of the keyboard on the page, which can be useful if there is no area to tap on that does not activate something on the page.

They are more like directional arrows…I know, chevrons are usually stacked 1 way and usually on uniforms…my issue is why does the control (search) bar open directly ontop of the actual search bar covering the view that shows the text your typing…why would they make it look exactly like a search bar and to have it open ontop of the actual functioning bar or blocking anything for that matter? Thx for your input
