Increasing app size in Assistive Access on iPad

We are currently using the assistive access option on an iPad for my grandad who suffers from tremors. The app icon are a great size to allow him to access the apps. However when entering certain apps such as Safari or social media the screen reduces size.

Is there a way to increase the size of the apps selected for assistive access? Otherwise my grandad is unable to access certain apps.

Wondering which iPadOS version is installed on your grandad's iPad.

You may be able to customise those troublesome apps, guided by Apple Support's article below:.

Eg: Add, remove, and customize apps for Assistive Access on iPad - Apple Support

says you can:

"Change options for apps in Assistive Access

  1. Exit Assistive Access if it’s active.
  2. Go to the Settings app .
  3. Tap Accessibility, then tap Assistive Access.
  4. Tap the app’s name.
  5. Choose options for the app.

Important: Some features, such as app access permissions and privacy information, work differently in Assistive Access. See Understand certain differences in Assistive Access."
