Logic Pro X 11.2.2: Audio Waveform not showing

Hello,

I am trying to get my audio waveform to look like screenshot #1 so it will be easier for me to edit. But, as of right not it is screeshot #2. I have zoomed in all the way with the Waveform zoom and i have tried turning my gain all the way up as well. I have also refreshed overview. I am usng a MacBook pro 2019 version Sonoma 14.6.1. It was orginally showing a straight line as my waveform and has been doing that for a while now but i eventually got it to screenshot #2. I also added a screenshot of my current audio settings in Logic. I am new to using logic so please explain it to me like im a young child who knows nothing. Also I used m-audio air 192|8 as my interface and a microphone in input 1.

Thank you for the response. I already increased the waveform and that’s actually what helped it get to the size that it is. I think you’re right and it has everything to do with my pre recording settings because my recording did come out VERY low. If you have any advice for the pre recording part I would greatly appreciate that.
