Can't click into folders when dragging a file in macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 in Finder

Previously I was able to select a file or set of files, and (while dragging them), click into different folders and directories. This functionality appears to have been removed or bugged. Does anyone have any work arounds? I have to move sets of files like this constantly and it has been very annoying after I updated to the latest OS (from Sequoia).

I am on an M2 MacBook Air, and I have my Finder on column mode, sorted by Last Modified.

There is a bug in Tahoe where dragging a file onto the icon of a folder in List view 'misses'. If you instead drag the file over the name of the destination folder, that works. If by 'click into folders' you mean open the destination folder, make sure that Spring Loading is turned on in System Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control.

What I mean is I have the file(s) selected, and I am hovering over the folder/directory I want to "enter". Before, I could click the trackpad again (while still having the files selected) and click into that folder/directory to see sub folders and then select one of those sub folders to put those files into. I cannot do that anymore as I cannot perform the second "clicking" action that allows you to enter the folder. I have spring loading turned on, and have had it turned on previously.

The only thing that works now is hovering over the folder until it flashes and opens. This takes quite a bit of time and is finicky.
