Finder window Column View Default setting to "Fit Width"

I know we've been asking for Apple to make this possible ever since Column View came out, but I am wondering if anyone has found a third party solution that is capable of forcing Column view to "Fit Width"

I'm certain programming it shouldn't be too complicated seeing as there is a way to do this every time you open a new folder.

(1) OPTION+Double Click Divider Line: Fits each [Open] column to its max file/folder name length

(2) OPTION+SHIFT+Double Click Divider Line: Expands all [Open] columns to max file/folder name length among all columns

(2) has a "semi-permanent" effect as navigating back and forth through folders they maintain that max width. Changing the width of one folder, will not last if you go to another folder and come back. The width will always = the width of any surviving column from the above action. (if you close all but the first column and resize that column, the rest will now be that size.

It's far from people are asking for and more of a Bandaid solution.

I'd be grateful if anyone has found a way to do this.

"Open every folder with the width of the longest file/folder name"

BONUS Points if we can include an absolute "Max Width" in the settings.

I get the impression that Apple doesn't read these, but I am hopeful that someone out there like Better Touch Tool can or has created this for OSX
