Safari unable to connect with 'osd.dmdc.mil' domain on macOS Tahoe

For several days, I have not been able to visit websites - via Safari - the "osd.dmdc.mil" domain name. It's an address for military personnel/health system. And yes, it has been working since the shutdown but not for the last three days. Trying several individual websites, all with the same domain name suffix , Safari comes back with "cannot connect with that domain name". it's been working fine for decades but now nothing. Tried using WiFi instead of LTE data but still the same. "AI" said to try another browser but if the domain has been working "forever", do not think it's a Safari problem. Using macOS Tahoe 26.0.1: fine up until now. Any thoughts?

Check the address. osd.dmdc.mil is not resolving to anything I can find, nor is https://osd.dmdc.mil for that matter.

The site hosts (or some Apple Intelligence equivalent) retitled your post, changing the URL in question from dmdc.osd.mil to osd.dmdc.mil which are obviously different from one another, but it doesn't change the answer. Neither one resolves to any URL I can find, and it's very unlikely we are using the same DNS servers.

Oh this might be of interest:

The site could just be down at the moment.

As far as three different Macs running different macOS versions, several different browsers, three different Linux distros, one ISP and two different cellular data providers can determine that site simply does not exist.

This leads me to conclude it's not an Apple problem.

I can load all of the sites on my iPhone (on the same WiFi network), so I'm not sure why my MacBook has decided it cannot resolve the site.

🤷🏻‍♂️

It's dmdc.osd.mil, and it does't work in either Safari or Chrome on my MacBook Pro. I can load all of the sites on my iPhone (on the same WiFi network), so I'm not sure why my MacBook has decided it cannot resolve the site.

Any help would be appreciated, as this is the primary site for medical benefit enrollment/modification, and we're entering open season for these now.
