Inconsistent text selection from right to left on macOS Sonoma

I want to select some text from a bigger text.

Some times a day it is not possible to drag the cursor from right to left.

But it is possible to select the same text from left to right.

I have those issues since about a year on regular macOS Sonoma.

It happens in any app.

Using external lightning trackpad and extended keyboard with finger print sensor.

(but also with Tahoe on my macBook air with internal trackpad)

So it happens with differnt macOS versions on different devices.
