Iphone 17 orders gets cancelled automatically

Hello everyone, I have a problem with ordering through apple and using affirm. I want to buy iphone 17 256gb. I am making the purchase using a family member's iphone 16 pro logged into their apple id account. At checkout, when I select pick up on behalf of someone else, I put my details in at the top and put the family member's details at the bottom section titled "what is your contact information" because as logic dictates, im picking up on behalf of someone else so apple would require both buyer and pick up person's information. The family member's purchase gets approved with affirm but when the time comes to pick up, the order gets cancelled without any intervention, it happens automatically. When I check the order status just before it just gets stuck at "processing" and does not get past to receiving pickup details. This has happened 3 times already. I have called affirm to make sure that the payment went through and that there is no issues with any contact or address problems, they said to contact the merchant, in this case, apple. So i contact apple and make sure there are no issues, but one of the rep on the phone said, I was using MY PERSONAL apple id (different from my fam member's apple id) which i made triple sure, was not the case. I called again, another apple red told me that the pickup person is different from the billing purchaser, which why would apple refuse to allow someone else to pickup the iphone when all the information is correct and upto date ? I am really lost here, because everyone tells me to go from apple to affirm, back to apple, back to affirm.

What is the issue ? How can I really resolve and escalate this matter to someone who can really dig through this mess ?

No one here works for Apple or is an Apple contractor. In my opinion trying to buy an iPhone using another person’s device puts up all manner of red flags regarding possible fraud. So what is keeping you from ordering the device with your own Apple Account on Apple’s online store using a computer and financing via Affirm?

Are you outside the U.S.? The most common reason by far for what you describe is trying to buy from the US online store from another country. This Apple Shopping Help article has that information:

Shipping Policies

That same document has a section, "Shopping Outside the U.S." with a link ot Apple's International store directory. Such limitations are to comply with U.S. Export of Technology rules and are not done as something any company promulgated on its own.

Remember you are asking other end users here, not Apple. Apple does not staff these user-to-user forums. There are no "official" or "binding" answers here except when we point you to a published Apple document.

You do so by contacting Apple, and they are not here.
