Squeeze setting for Apple Pencil not available

I can see the “squeeze” option in my Apple Pencil settings. Have restarted my IPad Pro (2022), unpaired and repaired my Apple Pencil Pro but still does not work. I can use the double tap feature but not the squeeze function. In my Accessibility settings, I only see the option for double tap speed. Nothing for Squeeze. Any insights and help appreciated
