Notifications have transparent backgrounds (MacOS Tahoe 26.1)
Under MacOS Tahoe 26.1, all my notifications have transparent backgrounds and are unreadable as a result.
Appearance is set to "Light."
Liquid Glass is set to "Tinted."

You can always enable System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce transparency.

Looks fine here. Maybe look at other display settings, especially those in Accessibility.
You can also try to create a new user account and see if you see the same problem there. That's a good trick to get a fresh set of defaults in case you've forgotten about some odd setting years ago.
And finally, always try a restart.
