Download CD onto iphone now itunes doesn't do it/

I want to transfer some music from my Cds onto my iphone. I used to be able to do it using iTunes but itunes no longer has this facility. I have tried using apple devices but that doesn;t seem to work because each time I sync my phone it removes the music I have just downloaded.
