from one SE to another?

hi all. I have an AT&T 1st Gen iPhone SE and am looking at purchasing a refurb 3rd Gen SE. First, I connected my 1st Gen to my MacBook Pro by USB and created an "everything" backup. When I was creating the backup, I think I recall seeing a "restore" option/command? So, I'm thinking that when I get the new 3rd Gen SE, I would; a. simply connect it to the MBPro by USB, the b. "restore" the backup to the new phone?

So my questikno to you guys - - is it really as simple as that? Or am I missing something??
