Numbers stock function no longer retrieves ETF quotes

Hello,

I would like to report that, since a few days ago, the STOCK function in Numbers is no longer retrieving prices for any European ETFs (such as ERNX.DE, and other tickers like DU, HM, etc.), even though they were working perfectly before. The cell now shows “No data is available for the attribute ‘Price’ for the selected symbol”.

All my ETF tickers are affected, and the issue started without any changes to my spreadsheet. I have updated macOS and Numbers, but the problem persists. I also noticed that these symbols are still visible and updated on Yahoo Finance, but Numbers cannot fetch them anymore. Only ERNXY appears as a valid result, but it refers to a different asset.

This severely limits the ability of European investors to track their ETF portfolios in Numbers. I kindly ask Apple to investigate the connection between Yahoo Finance (or other Apple Numbers data providers) and European ETF tickers, and to restore full STOCK function support for these funds.

Thank you.

Numbers gets its data from Yahoo! Finance. Problems like these are recurring.

I suggest filing a bug report at Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in the menu. Bug Report is one of the choices in the dropdown.

Don't expect a reply. But I believe the feedback channels are more closely monitored by Apple's developers than this user-to-user forum.
