I recently purchased an iPhone 17 Pro and updated it to iOS 26.1. Since the update, Apple CarPlay has stopped working. In one car, Waze and Google Maps do appear on the screen, but the image immediately starts freezing and becomes unusable. In another car, the phone does not connect to the car at all.

Since the iPhone 17 series just has been released, this might be a software issue either on Apple's side or the car manufacturer.
You should report this to Apple Techs directly by using the Feedback link and also contact your car dealer about available updates for the entertainment system.
Submitted but I already confirmed that issue is on Apple side. Tested with older Iphone and same IOS 26.1 version and everything worked perfectly. Something is wrong with Iphone 17 pro and software compatibility side.
