If your folder vanished from the desktop but the files are still recoverable, it’s likely your Desktop is synced with iCloud Drive.
In Sequoia, iCloud can move your desktop items into iCloud Drive > Desktop to sync across devices, which can make them disappear locally.
Open Finder → iCloud Drive → Desktop and check if the folder’s there.
If not, look in Recently Deleted on iCloud.com or use Spotlight to search the folder name.
Also, check the ~/Desktop folder directly via Finder’s “Go to Folder” (Shift + Command + G). If the folder truly isn’t there, try Time Machine or a recovery app like Stellar Data Recovery for Mac to restore it.
