No Apple apps work correctly on Windows 10 or 11!
I've used iTunes, Apple Music, and Apple Devices and NONE of them allow me to sign into my Apple account, authorize my computer, or recognize my iPhone. I've tried with two different iPhones, using multiple different ports and cables, on two different computers, both various versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11, for several years.
For a long time, I've had to resort to using subpar third party applications to manage the music content of my phone, but today I thought I would give the legitimate Apple applications a try again. What a joke! Nothing works. And from the numerous forum posts, it's clear Apple simply *does not care* about this issue. None of the suggestions listed in ANY of the posts work. None! Startling to me that a major software product could be so stymied by a problem numerous people are having, and make no real response to fix it.
Error messages received:
- "You do not have enough access privileges for this operation" when trying to launch iTunes or Apple Music
- "This action could not be completed. Try again" when trying to sign in, authorize a computer, or deauthorize a computer via the Windows iTunes app
- "This action could not be completed. Try again" when trying to sign in, authorize a computer, or deauthorize a computer using the Windows Apple Music app
- Apple Devices app doesn't work - no response when hitting "Trust" in the app - nothing happens after entering the trust code on the iphone.
I know my Apple account is current and my password is correct because I'm able to sign in to iCloud via the web just fine. My AppleTV account works fine. I'm still able to buy music etc via iTunes on my phone. It's just the Windows apps that are completely nonfunctional.
