Search (Finder) not working

Tahoe 26.0.1 on my Mac Air 2020. Finder is yielding nonsensical search results. I verify that the file I was searching for by looking in the likely folder, and Finder still doesn't acknowledge its existence.

I've Restarted, no improvement, am about to reinstall MacOS, hope that helps, but...what the heck?! Has anyone else experienced this?
