Excessive Documents & Data in Apple Music with No Downloaded Content

This issue has persisted for several years across multiple iOS versions. I currently have 12.36 GB of Documents & Data in Apple Music despite having zero downloaded songs, albums, or playlists.

Steps I have already attempted:

• Deleted and reinstalled the Apple Music app multiple times

• Signed out of iCloud and signed back in

• Toggled Sync Library off and on

• Verified that “Optimize Storage” is enabled in Music settings

• Confirmed no content is marked as downloaded

• Restarted the device multiple times

The issue returns shortly after any temporary fix. The Documents & Data storage continues to accumulate over time, consuming significant device storage that cannot be recovered through normal means.

Device Information:

• iPhone running latest iOS version

• Apple Music subscription active

• Sync Library enabled for cloud music access

This appears to be related to cache files, partial song downloads for quick playback, and sync library metadata that accumulates without proper management or clearing mechanisms.

Has anyone identified a permanent solution to prevent this Documents & Data from continuously growing? Any guidance from Apple on addressing this long-standing issue would be appreciated.
