Not able to setup custom audio setup on Airpods Pro 3 with iPhone 15 pro

I recently purchased airpods pro 3. I have been using iPhone 15 pro for the last two years. I tried setting up custom audio setup as I wanted more bass from the airpods but it is not letting me to do so. I am getting an error message “Headphones not supported” whereas I do see this headphone listed under supported device. I have already tried resetting, forgetting and reconnecting the airpods but it doesn’t work at all. I am using ios 26.1 on my phone. Any help is much appreciated

Use EQ, found in Settings:

To increase bass on your AirPods while using iOS 26, you need to enhance the low frequencies. In iOS 26, you need to select Music from Apps. See if the following works...

Go to: Settings
Tap: Apps
Tap: Music
Tap: EQ
Select: a preset like "Deep" or "R&B"
