Downloaded photos missing from Downloads folder on Mac
I was uploading photos to a blog, but the pictures are under different names. I uploaded the first few and everything was fine. When I went to upload the next one, my download folder was empty. I thought it might have been a website issue, but it's the same on every website I tried. I went to the download folder itself and it's empty. I even re-started the computer in case it was an issue there. Once everything was back up and running, the folder is still empty. However, if I look at the recent downloads from Google, it still shows them as being downloaded. But the folder itself is empty. I checked the trash and they're not in there. As far as I can tell, it's only downloads that are gone. Documents and screenshots are still there. Just not downloads. I can't figure out how to find them. I watched a YouTube video on tips and none of them worked. So I'm hoping maybe people will have suggestions here I can try. Some of the pictures are old and are of pets that are passed. I really don't want to lose them.
