iPhone 17 Pro Max Splitting Compilation Albums Into Individual Artists In Music App On iOS 26.1

Hi there

The Apple Music app on my iPhone 17 Pro Max that is using iOS 26.1 is splitting songs from compilation albums into individual artists but only for artists that I have other material by

For example, the majority of the songs on the compilation album Macro Dub Infection: Volume One are grouped in one instance (which is what I want to happen), but because I have other material by the artist Tortoise (one of the artists on the Macro Dub Infection: Volume One compilation album), the song by them on the compilation is shown in a separate instance of the compilation album

Does anyone know how to solve this issue and have the Apple Music app group all songs in compilation albums in one instance for each album (including for songs by artists that I have other material by)?

I’m thinking the songs’ metadata wont be the issue as I manually alter this to be unproblematic, but I would have to check on my MacBook to be sure and I’m not able to do that for now

I also have the ‘This album is part of a compilation’ box checked too
