Side Bar and Favourites, no longer stable – messing with my workflow.

For a decade or more... I'm unsure how long, I've used the sidebar for my WORK IN PROGRESS. I have various (empty) folders to help the list break up into priorities. Then place my job bags in situ under the headings (A, B, Pending, To INV). It's been a fabulous system. Every time I open a window I can see what's to be done etc. HOWEVER, since the most recent few updates (now 15.6.1) the Fav names when I move them DO NOT move, or move back and just do random things. It's so frustrating. I've reset them all and started again, and it worked okay for a while. But not working again now. And after 10 years or more of this working just fine... it's obviously really annoying. I'd love it if APPLE fixed it and made it work like it did. What are the chances? Slim to none, but venting here anyway. Does anyone else having issues with the side bar and favs?
