Odd behavior when connecting my iPhone to CarPlay

I would say 2 out of every 10 times I connect to my car via CarPlay, Apple Music will bail out of whatever playlist I was listening to and just start at the top of my library. I can't reproduce the issue; it's completely random, and incredibly annoying.

Environment:

• iPhone 16 Pro Max
• iOS 26.0.1
• Buick Encore w/ wired CarPlay or Carlinkit 5

Anyone else dealing with this, and if so, have you found a solution?
