Post Tahoe Spotlight and Finder are not locating files in the /Users/[username]/Library/ folder or subfolders.

To search for files in Spotlight, you need to click the Files button to the right of the search window, orpress Command-2. If you don't, it remains on the first choice and that's Applications.

Make sure that System Settings > Spotlight is set to show results from Documents and Folders.

Also note that you can use the search box in any Finder window to search for files.

If that doesn’t work, Copy/Paste this into Terminal. 

sudo mdutil -X /; sudo mdutil -i on /

Terminal will ask for your password. Just type the password and hit return. It won't show anything on screen. Those commands essentially nuke all the Spotlight records then force a reindex. You may need to restart or log out/in after running the commands.

I have never seen Spotlight, and thus Finder, display any results for the Library folder unless you start the search in the Library folder. You can’t really do that from the Spotlight interface, but I don’t know with the new Files section in Tahoe.

I've re-indexed the drive; nothing is excluded in System settings, except for OneDrive, which it searches anyway because I get results from there.

This started after the Tahoe upgraded, which frankly has been nothing but a hassle so far.

I used to be able to quickly find custom Word templates by searching for .dotx files using either Spotlight or Finder.

Now I get no results from the /Users/[username]/Library/ folder

I haven't seen evidence on my Tahoe 26.1 installation that Spotlight is even indexing the user Library folder contents.

I don't know why you are having issues.

I froze my Office at 2019 before the final updates that nearly bricked it for some people. Maybe it is something with 365 not providing an importer for their library files.

When? This is from my Mac still on Sequoia, Spotlight shows no results for files that are clearly visible in Finder in ~/Library.
