Apple Watch constantly turns on when in charger after update

Is your watch switched off when you put it onto the Apple charger?

The watch starts up, shows the Watch face for a second and then the Charging Screen and the display goes into standby and stays that way.

If yes, this is expected behaviour, just tried that with my Apple Watch.

If the watch is constantly showing the Watch face, then the charging screen, and the Watch face again, it is not charging correctly.

Are you using the original Apple USB charging cable that came with the watch and at least a 20W Apple power adapter? If you use a power adapter that provides less power, the watch will show this strange behaviour, because it can't charge properly.

No this is not what’s happening. I put watch on the charger, it tings, the green flash symbol appears to confirm it is charging and the green circle also appears to show how much charge there currrently is. However the watch then returns to watchface normal display just like it does in daily use. It’s not even the resting mode paler screen, it’s the full thing and it never changes.

This was not an issue before 26.1
