iPad Pro M5 slower than M4?
From the second half of the benchmark 3DMark Steel Nomad on my Ipad Pro M5 is running slower than with my previous Ipad Pro M4,

Chances are it's because the M5 is a "higher performance" processor than the M4. It runs faster and hotter than the M4. When the processor reaches a certain (high) temperature, it will throttle back / reduce it's clock speed to keep it within a certain operating temperature range as well as to protect itself. When this happens, performance will drop while the processor cools itself off.
Higher performance processor with more power use means no performance/watt gain. Okey it is good for quick tasks, but games or longer periods of loads maybe M4 gives more steady performance.
