"Error -8062 during file transfer to external SSD on Mac: I am transferring files to an external SSD and am getting the following error code. (error code -8062) What dose this mean hand how can I fix this?"

Troubleshooting "Error -8062":

APFS is Required for Tahoe:

1. Go Here: File System Formats Available in Disk Utility on Mac - Apple Support
2. As it Rads: "Apple File System (APFS), the default file system for Mac computers using macOS 10.13 or later,"

Verify the Format is APFS:

1. Click: the Desktop
2. Go to: Go menu
3. Select: Utilities
4. Open: Disk Utility
5. Click: the hard drive
6. View: the filetype located below the hard drive.

Do not move your Home Folder to the external drive.

To free up space, only move your Photos, Music, Movie Libraries to the external SSD.
