High latency when recording voice in Logic

Logic Pro low Latency nightmare, I hope someone can help..

I have a constant Latency issue while recording voice:

-              I have set up low latency button to no use (not surprising as I tried without plugins..)

-              When I set up the audio, I/O buffer Size to 32, I have 288.8ms Roundtrip (286.9 ms Output)!.. it should be much less as it was in the past?

This also happens when I try a new project with no other tracks or plugins. It also happens in GarageBand.

Software and material used:

-              Logic Pro 11.2.2

-              Macbook Air m4 - new - migrated Logic Pro from my old MacBook Pro

-              CPU: 88% idle – Memory use 15 out of 24 GB

-              Input, Macbook Air mic OR Irig mic (same issue)

Actions taken:

• I tried to restart laptop, checked for software updates, quit all other softwares
• Apple Support, Tips, Users tips and tutorial videos won’t work: I still get I still have 288.8ms Roundtrip after setting the buffer + the low latency button won’t work..

Anybody please???
