Pages: Can text in a catalog use multiple fonts?

I'm using pages to make a catalog, but can the text in the catalog only unify one font?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Your subject implies you want multiple fonts, but your message implies you want it the same?

In general, Pages doesn't care. Every character on the page can be a different font if you want, or they can all be the same. It's entirely up to you.

Pages does have a concept of Styles where you mark specific content as being a particular style, such as Header, Body Text, List, etc., which makes it easier to make sweeping changes to the layout (want all your Body Text to be larger (or smaller)?, just change the Style and everything that uses that Style will update with the changes), but you're not obligated to use them.

Maybe if you can explain more about what it is you're trying to do, a more direct answer would be possible.

There are two languages in my thesis, so I need to use two fonts.

To write in two languages, you normally switch keyboards/input sources. Fonts take care of themselves, and many fonts cover multiple languages. What exactly are the languages you need, and what happens when you try to type in both of them? Post a screen shot to illustrate the problem is possible.

OK, I think I see the problem now...

Is this a Table of Contents that is built automatically based on the Heading styles used in the document?

If so, Numbers will assign the same style to all Table of Contents entries that use the same document style.

For example, if your document looks like this:

And you create a Table of Contents, each of the 'Heading' paragraphs will be added to the Table of Contents and will have the same style set because they are based on the same document style. In this case, it is not possible to assign different styles (fonts, sizes, alignment, etc.) to each Heading item since changing one will change all the others:

If you want multiple Styles in the Table of Contents, you need to use different styles in the document body. These will then create multiple styles in the Table of Contents (one for each document Style used).

For example, you could create a document style called 'Heading - English' and another one for 'Heading - Chinese'. Assign these to the paragraphs you want to include in the Table of Contents:

(sorry, my Chinese is non-existent, I have no idea if the above makes sense in Chinese, but I hope you get the idea :) ).

Now when you create the Table of Contents, there will be two styles used, and you can format the 'Heading - English' and 'Heading - Chinese' independently.

To mark the Chinese headings as Kanji, select one of them and choose the language from the Keyboard Input menu in the menu bar. All the others should follow suit.

I hope that's closer to what you're trying to do
