Apple Pencil 2nd Gen battery drains quickly

Is it normal for an apple pencil gen 2 to degrade battery percent from 100 to 99 in 28 minutes? i just bought mine second hand and they bought it last january 15 but for some reason it won't connect to their ipad because their ipad had some issues so they haven't used it quite a while. do i need to give it back to the seller? or just sell it? and buy a bnew? i need ya'll opinion abt this🫩🫩🫩

Using only 1% of the Pencil's available battery in 28 minutes is remarkably good.


Depending to some extent upon the Apple Pencil model, you might expect something in the region of 12 hours of continuous use from a full charge. However, consider that the Pencil itself is “active” (and therefore consuming battery power) whenever motion is detected. So, if you are carrying a Pencil around with you - and the Pencil is not docked with its host iPad - it will be slowly depleting its battery.
